Medieval Aloud sells oud oils, natural oud wood, bakhour, and handmade burners in olive wood and mother-of-pearl, delivered across the UAE. Fragrance is bought on trust and imagination, so the store does the work with words, photography, and a clear structure.
The context
Customers range from someone buying a AED 16 accessory to collectors spending thousands of dirhams on oud. The store had to feel like a boutique at the top end without scaring off a first-time buyer.
The problem
Oud is a crowded, confusing category: the same words describe very different products. Without clear families and good copy, a customer can't tell an essence oil from a raw oud oil, or why one costs ten times more.
What we did
We structured the catalog into ten families, raw oud oils, essence oils, natural oud, bakhour, burners, heritage boxes, gift sets, room and body sprays, accessories, wrote Arabic and English copy around origin (Indian, Cambodian) and scent, and set the store up for the UAE: dirham pricing, cash on delivery, and delivery times up front.
